A very thoughtful review, and I enjoyed seeing your mentioning of FP's Sidearm. One item which I believe you neglected is talking more about these figures interaction with actual G1 toys. As much as these figures are probably meant to be marketed to a Classics collection, this makes a great opportunity for G1 collectors to add a bit more bulk to their collections or to replace any missing original Target Masters. I'd really like to see how these interact with the original figures, but I may only have to wait a month or so before I get this set in hand to try out on my own.

I actually don't have many G1 figures, I must admit. I made the stupid mistake when I was a child of actually playing with my toys. (What was I thinking?!) So the Transformers I own these days are mostly ones that have been purchased in the last decade, and are predominantly "Classics" style toys.

I had an opportunity to take a few more photos, so if you take another look at the review, you'll see a few shots of one of them with a G1 figure.
